Core Principle: Sigs: Clinic & Sessions ("Sigs") is built specifically for solo therapists, counselors, and mental health practitioners. We believe sensitive clinical data must never leave your possession. 100% of patient records, session notes, and attendance logs are stored locally on your iPhone and are never uploaded to our servers.
1. Data That Stays Exclusively On Your Device
The following data is created and processed strictly on your iPhone using Apple's local SwiftData framework:
Patient / Client Profiles: Full names, phone numbers, appointment frequencies, and default fee arrangements.
Session Records: Attendance status (Attended, Canceled, Late Cancellation, Pending), session notes, and billing history.
Calendar Synchronization: Read/write access to your device's Apple Calendar occurs 100% locally using EventKit. Calendar event contents are never synced with or transmitted to any third-party server.
2. Anonymous Usage Telemetry (Opt-Out Anytime)
To ensure app stability and optimize practice workflows, the app collects aggregate, non-identifiable telemetry:
What We Collect: High-level screen navigation counts (e.g., viewed_calendar), feature interaction frequencies (e.g., appointment_marked_attended), and non-identifiable capacity buckets (e.g., client_count_bucket: "4-6").
What We NEVER Collect: No patient names, initials, phone numbers, notes, timestamps of specific appointments, device IP addresses, or cross-app advertising identifiers (IDFA).
Opt-Out Control: Anonymous telemetry is enabled by default to help stabilize early builds, but you can turn it off anytime with one tap in Settings → Security & Privacy → Anonymous Usage Telemetry.
3. Subscriptions & Payments
Sigs uses Apple StoreKit 2 for all In-App Purchases and Subscriptions. We do not process, store, or receive your credit card details. All billing transactions are managed directly and securely by Apple Inc. under the Apple App Store Terms and Conditions.
4. Encrypted Backups & Export
The app offers automated local and user-initiated backup exports (JSON/CSV). When you choose to save a backup to Apple iCloud Drive or Google Drive, the file transfer occurs directly between your iPhone and your personal cloud storage provider under your existing credentials. We have zero access to your backup files.
